On the corner of Franklin and Pleasant
Sarah and I visited the Art Shanties on Medicine Lake this weekend. It was a gorgeous day to be out on the ice. For the uninitiated, these shanties might be described as glorified ice fishing houses. The houses reside on Medicine Lake for about 5 weeks, each with their own theme.
We had a great time out on the lake! Later we went to Busters in our new hood and then JPs in our old hood. Great times!

The photos of this peculiarly Minnesotan festival of sorts brought greater clarity to my interpretation of how you and Paul explained the whole event to me at Buster’s. I was completely psyched on the two story “icehouse” with mandatory hole cut into the floor so one cold fish from the second floor! Your coverage of this monumentous event has inspired me to check it out in person, albeit perhaps not until next year (due to an irrational fear of “thin ice”). Well done, you two. Keep up the good work on bringing local esoteric art events to the masses!
