Home away from home

After an entire summer of hiding out at Acadia, I have found my new favorite homework spot. Common Roots Cafe on 26th and Lyndale.

Reasons why this place rocks:

-Good music and a pleasant volume

-Super eco-friendly

-Bright, airy atmosphere, but not so bright that you can’t see your laptop screen

-Delicious sandwiches, salads, soups, bagels, and baked goods made from local ingredients

-The perfect range of beverages for a cafe, including fresh coffee, juice, tea, beer, and wine

-Great wireless signal

-Pretty outdoor patio seating with lights and vines

-Sturdy, comfortable tables and chairs

-Clean bathrooms

-Tall ceilings, exposed brick, calming paint

-Walking or biking distance from home on Franklin & Pleasant

I have been here almost all day and for about three hours last night. I have a feeling this place will get a lot of my money while I am in school!
