weekend highlights so far…

This hot weekend has turned out to be amazingly about as obligation-free as a weekend in June can get. For both Paul and I, our biggest obligations were to ourselves and it’s been wonderful…

We kicked off the weekend with close friends, listening to music and drinking beers in our hot living room. We stayed up pretty late (for me) that night so on Saturday we slept in until noon. Waking up to nothing we had to do was amazing! What did we do? We went to the Mall of America in search of cool, summer clothing and a mortar and pestle.

Later, we went to see the movie, Ratatouille. This is now my favorite Pixar movie. It was funny, lively, and great animation.

After Ratatouille, we went to the Longfellow Grill and splurged on late night fancy entrees (2-4-1- because I’m an MPR member!) and mojitos. We sat outside by the river and the Lake Street Bridge. It was a beautiful evening to sit outside.

Okay, so, now I’m obligated to get some biology homework done. I am finally out of cells and into tissues, which are really just a group of cells working together to serve a common function.

Later.
