Met Council Discussion on MPR Midmorning
I cought an intersting segment over breakfast on MPR’s Midmorning, featuring Peter Bell of the Met Council.
The Metropolitan Council turns 40 this year, and its existence has coincided with explosive growth in the Twin Cities metro region. Met Council Chairman Peter Bell joins Midmorning to discuss that growth and the issues the region faces in the future.

As a daily bus commuter, I can agree with many callers that a much can be improved. However, transit in the area is certainly expanding, so rejoice! I am excited about the Northstar Corridor project and the construction of the Central Corridor, which seems like it just can’t happen fast enough!
Other hot topics in this discussion include bus safety, attention to those with disabilities, comparisons to other cites, and of course, the fact that driving is still very necessary in the Twin Cities.
Super interesting. Give it a listen.
