Tavern Tour 2006

This weekend we visited the Zastera cabin for one last trip before the snow flies. Maybe I should create a “Beer” category for the blog. We joined Donna, Evil, Dustin, Annie, Nick, and Scooter for an afternoon of tavern cruising. If anyone has a copy of the bar list, it would be super if they posted it.

A few panoramas from our pit-stops on Saturday (click to enlarge):

The rest of the collection, compliments of Sarah’s camera…

The Caberet was a new one to me. I liked it a lot. Even for a bar, it had a lot of money on the ceiling. It was our first stop.

The next stop.

The Gophers were doing pretty poorly by this time, and someone at this bar told us we needed to turn our shirts inside out.

I only got one bathroom documentation photo this year. The men’s room at this pit stop had a huge collection of Old Milwaukee fish mirrors. I caught a bass.

Every year we find new and interesting hand-made signage:

Hey Evil, Where are we?

Here, sucka:

Obligatory Cuteness…

Also, don’t forget the Scooter is 21 now (twenny-onnnneeee):

Let’s just say that a lot of things have changed since Sarah returned to eating meat. First she quit reading, then she became a Republican. Now she plays Buck Hunter:

… and gambles.

It’s not actually a crow.

Back at home base, everbody fell asleep early, old-people style.

The next day, Sarah and I hiked on a lovely scenic trail nearby the cabin. The color change has already come and gone:

Johnson lake will freeze over soon, only good for aging lagers at 32 degrees and preventing snowmobilers from drowning.
